Our friend Olaf took us to Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel. There is a octagon shaped building on the top of the mountain that we visited. On top of the building stands the statue of Hercules. This was the starting point where the water came out. We watched the water flow from the top all the way to the bottom of the mountain through a series of several different beautiful waterfalls to the huge château.
350,000 liters of water was released, and it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to flow all the way down the mountain.
We walked so long uphill that we were out of breath. It was quite a workout but worth the work. It was so beautiful to see at night. We are looking forward later to see it in the day.
The park has this night water show every first Saturday in June, July, August, and September. We went the very last time it was open. There were a lot of people there.
