Rivertree Christian Church Furlough 2012

Rivertree Christian Church Furlough 2012

On Sunday February 19, 2012, Amanda and I traveled a few feet up the road to Rivertree Christian Church so that we could share with them what we do in Peine, Germany. We had a lot of great conversations with  a lot of friendly people. Thank you Rivertree for your continued support and prayers!! And a special thanks to Amanda's Grandma and Grandpa Laver for attending the service and showing their support. :-)

Peine, Germany Photos

Peine, Germany Photos

I wanted to have a blog that consisted of just our photos, so I created www.createeuro.com.  I have since decided to consolidate my sites. Now Create Euro will point to Mosaic Mercy.  Here are all of the photographs that Amanda and I took for that site. All of the photos were taken in Peine, Germany.

Valentine’s Day Dinner

Valentine’s Day Dinner

Valentine's 2012 was celebrated with my parents.  Dad made a wonderful dinner of chicken parmigiana and green bean casserole.  It was yummy!  Oh, and Dave helped!  Dad & I decorated.  Gotta say I don't think I have ever celebrated a special date like that with more than just me and Dave.  But we had a lot of fun! The interesting thing was that Mom & Dad have started a new tradition of giving each other little gifts every day for the week leading up to Valentine's.  That sure is a lot of little sweet nothings! Inola Christian Church Furlough 2012

Inola Christian Church Furlough 2012

On Sunday February 5, 2012, Amanda and I traveled to Inola, Oklahoma so that we could share with Inola Christian Church about our life and ministry in Peine, Germany. We had a great time getting reacquainted with everyone.  Thank you to the Laird's and my family for opening up their homes to us. When we come back through we are looking forward to staying in the place that the church is offering to us. I haven't been sick since September 2010 and that was in Germany.  I suppose I got used to the German germs but now I am having issues with the Oklahoma germs. :-(  It's a good thing...

American Russian German Birthday Party

American Russian German Birthday Party

American Russian German Birthday Party?  Allow me to explain: American: Amanda and I are, of course, Americans. Russian: All of my young friends in these photos are originally from Russia. German: As you know, we live in Germany. Birthday Party: We celebrated our friend Daniel's birthday party in a very non-traditional German way.  A German is in charge of their own party.  They invite people to their home and basically serve everyone. Because we planned Daniel's party he received an American style birthday party.
