Schloss & Schlosspark Wilhelmshöhe Our friend Olaf took us to Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel.  There is a octagon shaped building on the top of the mountain that we visited.  On top of the building stands the statue of Hercules.   This was the starting point where the water came out.  We watched the water flow from the top all the way to the bottom of the mountain through a series of several different beautiful waterfalls to the huge château. 350,000 liters of water was released, and it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to flow all the way down the mountain. German Tacos

Germ-Mex Tacos are not to be confused with Tex-Mex Tacos or even Dad's Tacos (though the taste is similar).  Germ-Mex Tacos are tacos made as best as one can in Germany, which lately haven't been too bad. Last month I went to purchase a box of hard taco shells and discovered that they now cost 3.50 Euros.  For 12 mediocre taco shells!   That equals to about 5.00 dollars.  I decided that we needed an alternative to these high prices. Children’s Circus in Germany

Children’s Circus in Germany

[This is part of the Odds and Ends 2010 series.  Go check out the other posts!] With the circus in town, the school in Hämelerwald put on a spectacular show.  Hämelerwald is a small town close to Peine where we live.  The kids learned very quickly how to do some stunts and it was fun and impressive.  I am sure that the kids had fun too. David and I were invited by a couple of friends from our English program (LST).  We sat with Vanessa while Sabine was one of those sponsor parents that made the show as great as it was.
